To keep us on track with accepting nominations, we need clarification from the nominators of the below tags. If you are the nominator, please get in touch by 10:00AM PDT on Friday, 29 May 2020 (48 hours from now) or they will be rejected/edited as described.

To clarify: we accept specific group nominations, e.g. Harry Potter & Weasley Family, or Harry Potter/Quidditch Team Members. The following group types are too vague and will not be accepted, even if canonical to your fandom: Character & Any, Character & Other(s), Character & Everyone.

We accept original characters within fandoms, e.g. Original Ape Character (Planet of the Apes), Original Male Character/Hermione Granger (Harry Potter).

After consideration, we'd like to ask that you disambiguate your nominations from here on out. This means putting the fandom in parentheses after the character, e.g. Gilbert Norrell & Jonathan Strange (JSAMN).

We are not accepting “& Any” nominations. Nominator, please use a more specific tag. (Edit: this has been deleted, so let us know if you'd like us to add a more specific tag on your behalf if you're out of slots.)

(2) The Hobbit - All Media Types (RESOLVED)
We are not accepting “All Media Types”. Nominator, please specify the movies or the book, or we will change it and your nominated relationships to movies.

(3) Mortal Kombat - All Media Types (CHANGED)
We are not accepting “All Media Types”. Nominator, please specify the video game or the movie, or we will change it and your nominated relationships to the video game.

(4) The Martian - All Media Types (RESOLVED)
As we accidentally accepted this “All Media Types” fandom, this will be changed to The Martian (2015). If you'd prefer us to change it to the novel, please let us know.

(5) Star Wars: The Clone Wars - All Media Types (CHANGED)
As we accidentally accepted this “All Media Types” fandom, this will be changed to Star Wars: Clone Wars (2008 TV). If there is a better qualifier we could be using, please let us know.

(6) Good Omens (TV): Apollo (Ancient Greek Religion & Lore)/Aziraphale (Good Omens) (RESOLVED)
We have moved this tag to Crossover Fandom.

(7) My Next Life as a Villainess - Yamaguchi Satoru (Light Novels) ; Final Fantasy XIV ; Tiger & Bunny (RESOLVED)

We seem to have gotten a bit lost with these noms. We want to ensure the book and game tags end up where they should be and would appreciate any guidance from nominators.

(10) Fairy Tales & Related Fandoms (RESOLVED)
Some relationships nominated under this fandom were submitted with a Disney disambiguation or appear to be more suited to a specific Disney fandom. Nominator, please:
- Nominate the following under their relevant Disney fandom or they will be rejected: Aurora/Maleficent (Disney), Eugene Fitzherbert | Flynn Rider/Rapunzel.
- Nominate the following under Crossover Fandom or they will be rejected: Merida/Rapunzel, Merida/Moana Waialiki.
- Clarify if Cinderella/Princess (Fairy Tales) refers to a specific princess or we will change it to Cinderella/Original Princess Character (Fairy Tales).

Re: My Next Life as a Villainess - I put in another tag, I hope it's okay now.

Also, when I went to nom Cells at Work I found it had two canonical tags: Cells at Work (manga) and Cells at Work (anime). I picked (manga), but it should really all be under just the one tag like the other manga-adapted-into-anime fandoms. Unfortunately by the time I decided to change my nomination to a non-canonical tag it had already been approved. Is there any way to change it to はたらく細胞 | Hataraku Saibou | Cells at Work (Anime & manga) or to just はたらく細胞 | Hataraku Saibou | Cells at Work? Or is that too much of a pain?

On second thoughts, never mind about the Cells at Work tag - for the purposes of this exchange, the tag might be better, and it's just asking for extra work for you unnecessarily. Sorry!

on Fairy Tales I would rather have nominated actual fairy tales but couldn't find them in the autocomplete. Can I write them in?

Thanks! We'll make those changes now. The Hobbit and The Martian will show up in your noms as rejected, but don't worry, they'll be in the tagset under "The Hobbit (Jackson Movies)" and "The Martian (2015)". If we've missed any of the characters or relationships you nominated, please let us know.

If you'd like to nominate the fairy tales separately, it's fine to write them in, even if they've never been used before on AO3. Please add the fandom in brackets at the end of the relationship so we know where they're supposed to go. Any crossover relationships will need to go under Crossover Fandom.

I ended up nominating some truly entertaining pairings under the heading "Fairy tales", not least because the signup form didn't like the stories-as-characters.

I just submitted my Nominations. I accidentally pressed enter twice before I was done and it summitted and automatically accepted one of my character entries without disambiguation.

It's under the fandom Grimm (TV) and the character nomination is "Nick Burkhardt & Monroe."

It won't let me edit it to add the (Grimm TV) tag. My apologies for adding extra work for you.

Hi,

I think most of the pairing tags are fine in the fandom tags they are, except:

Enid an Gleanna | Francesca Findabair/Tissaia de Vries (The Witcher Video Game) - I believe it would fit more with the books, seeing the characters are only ever mentioned in passing in the games. They play more active roles in the books.

Avallac'h | Crevan Espane aep Caomhan Macha/Lara Dorren aep Shiadhal. - This one is a little tricky, seeing Avallac'h has been in both book and game. While Lara is often only mentioned in both the books and game, seeing she is deceased already by the time of the Witcher plot. But I think this pairing can be left in both book and video game.

Hey! Hope it’s ok to post this here. Sorry If not. My Bakura Ryou/Yami Bakura nomination was rejected. I checked the pairings for Yu-Gi-Oh! And only
“Bakura Ryou & Yami Bakura” platonic ship has been approved.
